What do you love? (three things- take 10 seconds to think about these things)

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.” (1 John 4:16 NIV)

“If we really understand the magnitude of God’s love, we are naturally drawn to Him. We want to be with Him. Following Him is our instinct response. We desire to sit with Him and take Him everywhere we go. If we view God as a safe Protector and tender lover of our souls. He draws us in. If we imagine His friendly countenance, we want to hang out with Him. If we see God as He really is portrayed in the life of Jesus lived here, then God is tender, strong, caring, powerful, compassionate, aware of our needs, and relational. God is love!” (The Treasure)

What is your view of God?  What gave you this view of Him? Do you think your picture of God is accurate?

Our view of God effects everything. If we see God as good and for us, we see life as good. If we wrap our minds in His love and care for us, we like ourselves. Accepting His love and letting it become our identity is life-changing. His love is a strong foundation for our self- worth.

God, Show me more of who You really are. Life disappointment and people skewed my view of You. I invite You to show me who You are and help this to change how I see me. In Jesus name
