What 5 things are you thankful for this morning?

“This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!” (Romans 8:15-17 MSG)

Living a life following Jesus is not boring or dull. In complete contrast, it is full of adventure. It may feel as if we are holding on to God’s coattails as He leads us on what can even feel like a roller coaster. But in reality, He is walking our moments with us. Many years ago, I realized Jesus was not way ahead of me expecting me to catch up to Him or behind me counting my mistakes, but right beside me in my moments. His love covers all of our sins, mistakes, wrong turns and wraps us in His grace and love. And in that place He leads us, while walking beside us on the amazing adventure He has for us.

What does this adventure require of us?

  1. Accepting His forgiveness everyday. For shame and guilt are from the enemy, we must not let them have any place in our lives.
  2. Choosing to let His never-ending love cover (our rejection, fear, anxieties, insecurities)
  3. Ask God what He is leading us to AND step into the adventure

Jesus, I invite You to lead me into adventure. I give You everything that holds me back and I give You me.
