What 7 things am I thankful for?

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NIV)

At times, it can feel like everyone is against us and life is falling apart. People don’t treat us like God does. People live out their pain and we can get caught in the cross-fire. We can either repeatedly replay the hurtful words spoken to us or listen to His voice. We get to choose.

In contrast, God is always for us, working to pursue us, and He wants to walk beside us. Do my thoughts lead me to God or away from Him?

A practical way to do this is: when a memory of a hurtful word or comment pops in our head-immediately think of a word God calls us: “masterpiece, treasure, warrior, chosen...”

Also, we can invite Him to fix the hard and to heal the wounds that hurtful words caused. He promises to always be with us. God is for us- today, tomorrow, to heal our yesterday…

God, Show me that You are for me. Fill my heart with Jesus. In His name
