What in my life is life-giving?

"But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! (Jude 1:20-21 MSG)
Real life, don't we all want that? Real life is not found in what we have or what we accomplish. Real life is not found in how many people like us or the awards we receive. Real life is found in the "center of God's love." Embracing God's love leads us to trust His heart.

If we don't trust His heart for us is good, then we will cling to what we want and what we think is the best for us. Maybe we cling to a plan, or a goal, or a dream, or a possession, or a desire, or an unhealthy relationship. Sometimes we even cling to good things, yet God has something better.

In contrast, when we trust His heart for us is good, we can live life with "arms open and outstretched" ready for what He has.

Do I trust God's heart for me is good?

Is there something I hold on to?

What would it look like to open my arms to what God has for me?

Jesus,  I want to trust You with my life and my heart. Help me to believe that You have good things for me. Here is the thing I have a hard time letting go of _________. I want what You have for me. In Your name
