What do I love:

"In loving me, You make me lovable." (St. Augustine) This quote always makes me smile.  Most of us can quickly name quite a few things that we feel make us unlovable. If asked to write 5 things we liked and didn't like about ourself- I know which list most of us would complete first.

WE are lovable, because God loves us. We don't have to look to ourselves for security. Because of His love we can live secure. "God is sheer mercy and grace;

    not easily angered, he’s rich in love.
He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold,
    nor hold grudges forever.
He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve,
    nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.
As high as heaven is over the earth,
    so strong is his love to those who fear him.
And as far as sunrise is from sunset,
    he has separated us from our sins." (Psalms 103 MSG) We can accept the love that God has for us! When we think about what makes us lovable, we can remember He does!

When I think about me-which do I think about more- the negative or positive?

God, fill me with Your love, I invite Jesus into my heart to drive out the feelings of not liking myself. Remind me throughout the day my worth does not come from what I do, but from who I am in You. In Jesus name
