What makes me smile?

"My sheep recognize My voice. I know them and they follow Me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father, who put them under My care is much greater than the Destroyer and the Thief. No one could ever get then away from HIm." (John 10:30-32)

There is a Destroyer. He seeks to destroy the good things in our life. He tries to make us think negatively about ourselves and others. He wants us to feel hopeless. He tries to convince us we are not lovable. He is also a Thief, trying to steal our view of God and the best life He has for us. Not many of us like to talk about him. However, realizing that he is real and there is always a battle going on, for he is trying to ruin "life to the full."

What do we do?

We can realize that our negative thoughts about life, others, ourselves, and even God are not life-giving, but destructive. We can spend a few minutes everyday in God's truth (the Bible) and we can invite Jesus into our thoughts throughout the day. God protects us from the Destroyer. We must entrust ourselves to His care and listen to what He says about us!

Do I think destructive thoughts?

God, destructive thoughts are not from You, I give You all the negativity that I am thinking. I am sorry for choosing to think the this way. I give You, me. I invite You into my thoughts, my moments, my view of myself and others and You. Protect me from the Thief. In Jesus name
