What 5 things am I thankful for?

"But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!" (Romans 8:10-11 MSG)

Something wakes up inside of us when we invite Jesus into our life and heart. The emptiness is gone. The mystery of the Holy Spirit (which is a part of God) coming to live in us does something miraculous to our heart. His Spirit fills us with an identity in Him, He makes us alive by the Spirit He places in us. True life and life to the full is found by welcoming Him into our lives and asking Him to walk our moments with us. By spending time with God each day, we are reminded of what we have inside of us- His love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, self-control...(Gal. 5:22)

We can ask ourselves:

If I have invited Jesus into my life, do I live in a realization that His Spirit is inside of me and always available to empower me each day?

Jesus, I invite You into my moments, my decisions, my thoughts, my heart, my sadness, my hopes, my relationships, my dreams, my struggles...I want Your Spirit to do more than I can ask or imagine in my life. In Your name
